CropWatch4.0: Smart solution for the advanced management of agriculture fields

INDUSTRIAL R&D PROJECTS ON A EUROPEAN SCALE

CropWatch4.0 main objective is to develop an intelligent solution for agricultural crop management. Production efficiency will be optimised by an innovative solution which combines precision farming technologies, intelligent data analysis, and decision support systems methodologies. The solution will involve an IoT system for soil monitoring, an integrated communication and crop control platform and an intelligent decision support system for crop management. The project main deliverable will be the integrated platform for advanced agricultural crop management. The solution will be marked as a service “Sotware as a Service” to support farmers of all scales in the advanced care of their crops, reducing costs, optimizing resources, and improving their profit. Project exploitation will be accomplished by a joint venture between project partners, following a pre-defined business plan to market the new service.

The project is divided in 3 major blocks:

• IoT Enabled Solution for Soil Monitoring

• Integrated Crops Communication and Control Platform

• Intelligent Crop Management Decision System

CropWatch is co-funded by the EUREKA network Eurostars program and the Alentejo 2020. CropWatch project partners are Hidrosoph, AGQLabs, and Hispatec.
